A Recap of 07
M+A for IT Training (Feb 08)
Mergers
and Acquisition activity in the IT Training sector was average to
quiet in 2007. M&A activity in the broader training industry started
out strong, but cooled steadily during the year according to
Whitestone Communications who monitors the training industry. IT
training acquisitions followed that general trend. In all, there
were only five acquisitions of companies with a significant IT
training presence and four of the five took place in Q2.

So, You Aren't a CLO
- Do You Deserve to Be? (Feb 08)
Chief Learning Officer - CLO.
An impressive title, isn't it? It speaks volumes about an
organization's respect for the importance of training, and for the
individual who oversees this critical business function. It also
implies that the top training executive has ascended to the coveted
executive "C-Suite," where he or she enjoys unfiltered access to all
other department heads, the CEO, and occasionally even the Board of
Directors. In short, it signals that training has arrived.

into consideration
a FTE level and other resources
that had not been part of the discussion.
