this travel has taken a toll on my sleep, it did reinforce the
tremendous importance of corporate learning technology.

business development system (BDS) should predictably and

How to Boost Business Revenues with Learning 2.0 Portals (Oct 09)
Learning 2.0 portal investments can vary in size depending on many
factors, with six-figure outlays being common. Using the ROI rule of
thumb that worked for a large technology company's $100 million
learning organization, divide your total opportunity cost by 5. If
the result is a six-figure dollar amount or more, it's a good
indication that a 2.0 portal proposal for your organization aligns

Building communities of learning with Moodle (Oct 09) -

here
Over
the last 10 years we have seen a dramatic increase in blended
learning, which has typically been the combination of ILT,
eLearning, coaching and informal learning. In the last 2-3 years,
we have seen an increase in virtual training - synchronous training
delivered through web technologies. This session will discuss how
building communities of learning through Moodle can result in a more
connected group of learners where learning continues to take place
well after the actual "training events" have occurred. Examples of
how Moodle has been successfully used at LSI will be included.
